Version 0.1.1 of Patchcoin has been released. It enables support for claims based on Bitcoin source addresses, up to block 898,500. This is a mandatory update.

It is available here Release Release v0.1.1 · patchcoin/patchcoin · GitHub

Any signed message created by Electrum based bitcoin clients and bitcoin core or similar is supported.

These instructions focus on the desktop Electrum client:

How do I make a Patchcoin claim with my Bitcoin?

  • Go to the “Transactions” tab of the Patchcoin client wallet.
  • In the left search box titled “Enter address, transaction id, or label to search”, enter your BTC address.
  • In the bottom right field you will see your BTC address, the BTC amount held, and the eligible PTC claim amount. Right-click on your address and select “Claim address”. You will see a generated PTC address.
  • Open your Electrum client wallet. Under “Tools”, select “Sign/verify Message”. Enter your BTC address into the Address field. Copy the PTC address from the previous step into the message field. Click “Sign” at the bottom.
  • Copy the resulting signature and then return to the Patchcoin client wallet. In case you closed the previous window, right click your BTC address again in the bottom right field, select “Claim address” and then enter the signature.
  • Click “Publish Claim” to submit the claim. You should see your claim enter the queue in the top right field on the “Transactions” view.
  • Note that bitcoin based claims will be accepted as of this post, but will only start getting processed starting 6th of June (unix timestamp 1749146400).

You will receive 1 PTC per 0.0002 BTC used to claim, per BTC address. As with the first Peercoin phase, there is a claims cap of 50,000 PTC per address.

For any help regarding a claim, please create an account at patchcointalk.org and post in our Support thread.
